To create our Arts-and-Crafts influenced collection, we were inspired by a local master.  Dirk van Erp was a San Francisco designer that opened his studio in Oakland in 1910. Our pot is influenced by the vases he created during the Arts-and-Crafts heyday. The “hammered” texture applied to the fiberglass mimics the hand-hammered copper created in his workshop. Our ability to create metal-infused finishes allows the original intent he had to come through, albeit on a far larger scale than would have been possible then.

Two different materials (but it feels like more)
We manufacture the Craftsman Collection in two durable, lightweight materials - fiberglass (also referred to as FRP), and glass-fiber reinforced concrete (commonly referred to as GFRC). Our fiberglass is also available in a range of metal-infused finishes, so you can get these pots in bronze, aluminum, aged copper, and iron as well! You can see our Materials & Finishes pages to help get a feel for the advantages and disadvantages of each material. The fiberglass pots have a lightly textured finish to add character and resist everyday scratching.

Because we understand the nature of the work you do, we make the collection in a variety of shapes and sizes. There are rounds, rectangles, and squares in sizes from small to large

CWI Classic (CWC) Container Irrigation Inserts – Keep maintenance to a minimum by using a manual-fill container irrigation system with the Craftsman Collection.  Extends maintenance intervals up to 4x longer than with hand-watering.  This water-smart technology keeps irrigation water in, controls rainwater.

AutoFill automatic container irrigation systems – not only an effective maintenance solution, but a water-effective one as well. The fully plumbed rely on the AutoFill automatic irrigation valve and a low-pressure irrigation line.

Fiberglass Saucers – Tournesol Siteworks creates a range of saucers to coordinate with the Craftsman Collection planters.
